There are a lot of travel blogs out there (and we’ve probably read most of them as we prepared for this adventure). So how is Travel Breathe Repeat different? Well for starters, it’s written by people dealing with traveling with a chronic lung disease. Sarah has lymphangioleiomyomatosis (LAM) and Justin has a wife who has LAM. To learn more about us, visit About Us.
Of course, you’ll see familiar types of posts about enchanting cities throughout the world and the amazing food we’ll eat (what good would a travel blog be without Japanese temples or night markets in Thailand?). But you’ll also see how travel is different – but nowhere near impossible – for someone with a lung disease. We’ll write posts about why certain cities are great because they’re flat and walkable. We’ll give tips on specific tourist sites from the perspective of someone who can’t climb too many stairs without oxygen (or long breaks). We’ll share our wealth of knowledge about flying with a portable oxygen concentrator.
We hope you find something useful or inspiring or that you just gain a better understanding of what it’s like to travel with a disability.
